A hot weather

Ever since the end of my nightmare exam, I seems to squeeze out every single minute of my time to enjoy myself to the fullest. Is this the aim of every undergraduate after every exams? Thinking of it... seems a little self centered hor? Really pondering is this the kind of slacking life that i truly want? Of course we deserve to rest, while some of us will try to find job...

I slept at 5am again today! So happy that my beloved sister is willing to spend time talking to me. Lol... Today, not only did she accompany me to bugis for a job interview and to fix my specs, she is always so patient with me and willing to tolerate the "extreme" heat from the afternoon sun. Hmm... i must agree that today's weather is super hot!

So what is the job interview about? When i reached the place for interview, it was some sort of like "hidden" somewhere near National Library. Dynamic Asia was the company. In fact, i've been to similar kind of company before ( just different in location ) and they told me the same thing. They are actually a marketing firm, seeking people who are confident, influential and possess persuasive skills. Why? Because they are required to call important client ( e.g. HR manager or what la ), hopefully to lias with them for perhaps making donations, or organize some marketing events, or supplying people for jobs ( e.g. Comet IT show promoters ) etc. In fact, i'm not really impressed by the company. ( and don't even know if its true... validation?? )

Seriously, don't show me that kind of serious attitude when you are talking to me. Didn't your mum teach you how to smile? No smile = no talk. It is your company that need people, not that i need you. Even if i cannot find a job, i will not starve. The confident self u showed me does not impress me, but makes me think you are arrogant ( kind enough of me to omit the F word ). Remember that to earn people's respect, you have to first respect them. I believe this type of marketing firm will find the people they want eventually, and so do all the MLM or other companies such as those selling donation tickets or just mineralized mineral water ( for those who know what i'm referring to ). Please do not always portray a "beautifully painted rosy picture" for them to enter the company, disillusion them into thinking the future of this company had great plans for them and lure them into selling their heart, soul and time for your company when actually what u want them to do is to sell donation tickets on the streets or just mineralized mineral water. You know yourself best who i am talking about. Anyway one of my friend commented, that Dynamic Asia exploits donor's goodwill as they take a cut from the donation. I believe they are not the only company doing that. SASCO is one of them. Why i know? Because i worked there before. For every $5 ticket i sell, i get $1. I have teammates who sold 120 tickets per day. What happen to the other $4? Another dollar goes to printing the tickets. Only $3 is left for charity. Who knows what happen to the $3.

I can afford to say all these because i don't have a family to support. And because of that, i will say it.

Maybe i'm a little harsh on my words. But who can really understand? Whenever you flipped through the newspaper, thinking "Wow.. so many part time jobs for me to choose from!". Next you emailed them and they ask u to go for interview. Fair enough, we make a trip there. After much explanation and beating-around-the-bush, the job they want you to do is FAR from expected. ( sorry... here comes the F word ) Fucking waste our time. Be direct understand? We are not kids for you to fool around. The fact that we apply for part time jobs is because we know what we want. A proper 9 to 5 job with stable salary so that we can have some pocket money to spend on necessities or things we yearn to buy. What the hell...

Anyway my frustration was quickly cooled down as i don't want to spoilt my day with my sister. After the job interview, we went to have a Korean "toufu soup"! Err... toufu seems cheap... but the entire mee cost me $5 + a few pathetic cockles about 0.5mm in diameter. Lol... i'm always complaining. I know already. The weather is hot. Let's blame it on the weatherman. Anyway, the toufu did taste spicy, and should be nourishing to our body...

IKEA / COURTS is our next destination! Not a lot of people went there in the Monday evening. We just windowshop for a while, ate Long John Silver in TM before leaving for home. Not bad! Though its a simple outing, i enjoyed the company a lot... Thanks mei! Appreciate you a lot... (^.^)

In retrospect, i think i should learn to give thanks. Bad things and frustration will certainly intersect our life at one point or another, yet there is always a positive side... and i am still learning... Life is a learning journey... indeed...
