Butterfly
The days of a butterfly are numbered. Average lifespan for an adult butterfly is 20 to 40 days. Some live up to 6 months, and some live no longer than 3 days. When rain comes, some butterflies become tattered and die. This remind us that our days are numbered as well. For me, i'm 1/3 through my life. Days are too short for anger, for tears to leave unhealed, for quarrel and for idling around with nothing to do. Its time to cherish those important to you and bring happiness to those you love so that when you leave this world with nothing, you leave with no regrets as well. How fragile are we indeed.
If you try to spare a butterfly its struggle by cutting open its cacoon, the butterfly will die. It is that struggle of freeing itself from that cacoon is what develops its wings so that it can fly. Many a times we avoid hardship. But more often than not, hardship is necessary to make us a better individual. Don't give up easily.Butterfly is like happiness. Some people uses their whole life chasing after it, but never catches it. Some people don't even need to give it a chase, and butterflies ( or happiness ) can be seen all around them! But sometimes, they are not appreciative. I'm lucky to chase some butterflies and got it. Very appreciative and not willing to let it go, intended to keep it with me until it leaves. But i grasp it too hard that its suffocating. I should learn to let it go and let it flutter around me with freedom. Perhaps what's yours will be yours, and be appreciative when it comes to you.
