Milk is dangerous

Ever since we were young, we were taught to believe the importance of milk. It strengthen our bones. Such marketing messages are so strong that this multi-billion industry has boom and it's getting uncontrollable.

However this notion was challenged in recent years. Cow's milk is indeed detrimental to your health.

In September of 2000, two researchers compiled a review of the 57 studies on dairy products and bone health which had been published in the scientific literature since 1985. This review was published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. Not surprisingly, most of this research was financed by the dairy industry. In summary, 71 percent of the scientifically sound research did not support the bone building benefits of dairy products and some showed actual harm.

Sian. Too many data. I don't wish to turn my blog into a report writing...

Simplistically speaking:
Drink more milk, u'll fracture your bone easily.

So what should we drink? Soya milk. For infants, breast milk.
Calf drink cow's milk, we drink breast milk.
Where do matured cows get their calcium from? Milk??
They get calcium from eating grass of course.
We don't eat grass, but do note that leafy green vegetables are loaded with calcium
( though food like spinach and rhybarb contain oxalates that limits the absorption of calcium, they're rich in iron )

Even bread can be a good source of calcium.
Anyway other food products such as sesame seeds contain about 14 times more calcium than milk. Other types of seeds, such as pumpkin, sunflower and melon seeds, are also richer in calcium than milk.

That's all for milk. Hmm... today i didn't sleep well. Tensed up and as a result had insomnia. Went to Bedok FCC for my IPPT at 7am and saw Yun Guang and Yi Ming! Haha... Yun Guang is my church friend and this is the first time he's taking the electronic IPPT while Yi Ming is my hall friend! Ok la... as least i have company for the next three hours. (^.^)

Humph.... a little upset that i only pass my IPPT. Just a mere 25 secs and i'll be able to get my silver!! Perhaps i'll take the test again after exams ba... not only for that filthy money, but for myself.
