Truth

Learned something in church today. Tried to convert it to a non-christian perspective so that everyone can enjoy it... (^.^)

As a marathon runner, it is important for that person to see the finishing-line. The finishing-line is his goal. Without that finishing-line waiting for him, he will not run for long... he will be running aimlessly... It is therefore very important for the marathon runner to see the finishing-line before he started running.

How is it possible for the runner to see the finishing-line even before he started running? Indeed, he cannot see the actual finishing-line physically that is so far away from his view.. but... he has that line in his heart. More often then not, that line in his heart is so much more important then the actual finishing-line which is waiting for him. It directs him and motivates him to run for that final finishing-line, and it is that final-finishing line which gives him that line in his heart.

Many times in life, we cannot see that line in our heart because that actual finishing line is not even there. Start off with the end in mind and you'll realize that that line is in your heart, which will direct you how to live your life.

The truth will set us free. Will you want to hear the truth if the truth is ugly or undesirable?
In fact, i think it is the truth that is worth dying for.
