Be thankful

In life, more often then not, choosing the right option is more important than being hardworking. However this is only half true. The attitude of choosing that option is more important.

Who you are now is made up of the choices you made in the past. No one ended up with a high status, or being well-respectable haphazardly. Sometimes people suffer, because they do not learn give up things that are not theirs.

Indeed Joseph have to learn to make the right choices. Just like what the sermon said today: Sometimes choosing the right option needs to be patient. It takes time. Also, Joseph must learn to give up on things that does not belong to him and be thankful with the things he already had. Be in control. Control your desire, your tongue and your anger.

Life is like a mist. Everything before your eyes will not last, even your own body. Only 2 things will last:
The word of God and your soul.

People may think i'm a religious person just because i mention the word God in this blog. As a matter of fact, i'm just like you... haha... sinned... not at all religious. Anyway today seems to be a nice day. Cool weather, played reasonably well in church just now, spend some time talking to my dad... oh ya.. this is one of the time i spoke the most with him ba. He is always so busy.

I'm thankful for everything. My health, my family, my friends, my studies and even my enemies, because all of you shaped who i am today. Be thankful...

A trip out of home

Today actually wanted to meet someone, but suddenly something surprising for her happen, thus i have to go out alone... haha.. anyway i went out and wanted to exchange some voucher for my dad. Reached Tampines mall and was searching high and low for the Information counter. No where to be found!! Searched the whole of ground level and look up: Think from this picture u cannot see it properly, but it says there MRT / Customer Service / Eateries etc all at level one. I truly believe this sign post. Looked at the map, looked around for another half an hour and roam around level one to search for the "Customer Service" that they stated, but to no avail. Finally, it tested my patience and i had to ask someone. He said its in level 3:

Tampines mall. Your management sucks.

Anyway other then the voucher, i had to accomplish something. Thou shall not be angry for sucky management. Before that, i bought myself the durian puff as advertised from the media not long ago! It's located at the basement of TM. This durian puff cost $1.60 and is in fact, rather small size...

Took a bite and it really has that durian taste! ( of course la Joseph. Durian no durian taste, might as well go home sleep ) Anyway i think the taste should deceiving, as in not really real durian, cos i didn't manage to bite any fibre from the durian cream. Yet this deceiving taste seems very real though... ARGH.. just a puff... need to think so much or not?? Finally got to taste what i wanted! I feel so happy nei nei... DURIAN puff leh... :P

Did nothing much today. Went Bugis, walked and walked for 3 whole hours. Went City hall next, window shopped again and met Kin Hoong + his friend before i left for home. Watch a movie at home. Oh well.. that's should be the way perhaps.. Don't bother people, people don't bother you... peaceful everywhere...

Special Sem II Exams over!!

Finally!! My exams for special sem II finally came to an end!! Elated of course! Thanks for all my friend's encouraging sms! Li Shi, Yue Feng, Yu Sheng, Jie Hui and Huiting!! All of you are important in my life, cos u're part of it! :P Time to prepare for my trip to Malaysia this coming sunday~ (^.^)

Chatted with Samuel this afternoon and learned that year 3 sem 1 is the killer for SBS students. He mentioned also that for year 3 sem 2, it does needs a little of memorizing... haha!! Anyway, i believe my friends and i will try our best! Perhaps i'll use this time to pack up my room and prepare for the new semester ba. Smile always!!

My mum's 42nd birthday!!

Haha! 24th of July is a very special day! It's my mum's birthday!! In fact i have nothing for her. Sad right... and my dad has been asking us to eat this "detoxification" meal for the past 4 days. Makes things no better i guess... haha! Nonetheless, we really felt a little more "healthy" after the meal...

Though Eunice and Joshua and are here to celebrate my mum's birthday, we have Wen Wei with us! This meal, as can be seen clearly from the pictures, includes broccoli, tomato, cabbage, sweet potato ( all boiled ), watermelon and grapes. The durian cake from Angie the Choice! I think i ate exactly this cake a few times already... LOL!!! But i think it's still nice ba.. that's why we keep buying the same thing... -_________- "Oh ya... just to recap.. this is the cake we had for my mum's last year birthday! More style and chocolatey right?? Next, my dad also ordered pizza for lunch! Yum Yum!! This meal is truly an enjoyable meal for us. Haha!I felt my mum is a very blessed women. Really a very strong and determined girl who had raised up 4 children from scratch. Her strong character should come from her past job, which is a female prison warden. Everyday facing the inmate and have to be fierce. Haha!! I'm so proud of her actually. I love you!

Hai.. have been busy preparing for my exams tomorrow... Seriously i don't think i'll do well... Been feeling down these days also.. Perhaps life will be better without exams..

Monday blues

Have been feeling down while studying... Hoping to receive someone's sms, but my phone is just a little too quiet... Perhaps it should be this way one...

Suddenly in the evening, Jess smsed me:
Jess: Hey jo, what are you doing?
Jo: hmm.. i'm slacking.. why?
Jess: I'm bored. Ha ha.. You finished your exam?
Jo: haha.. bored? lol.. first time i hear u can be bored leh.. my exam is on wed lo.. where is your yu sheng?
Jess: He should be going for tuition soon.. I'm looking for entertainment.. Haha.. Drinking some chinese stuffies..

Anyway in the end she did come my house for movie at 8pm and left at 1030pm to find her dear. Haha... so nice to have a friend visiting me... at this strange and surprising time.. then as usual, my dad bought supper for me at 3am. haha!! We are indeed owls... :)

Xiang Ting's 21st birthday! ( updated )

Before i start on the birthday entry, i would like to highlight this first: This cup of tea has a very fruity smell. Why do i place this photo? It is my lovely sister who make this cup of fruity tea for me after i typed my previous entry. Haha! So nice of her... I felt blessed... :P So so... actually Xiang ting's Birthday is on the 25th of July, but it was brought forward by Kimberly, who organizes this surprise party. The funtion hall where we had our gathering. Hmm... Xiang's relatives, JC friends and uni friends are mostly present! All thanks to Kimberly for organising it. Haha! Xiang was like beaming from face to face! She was personally escorted to the function room by Kelvin, Kimberly and Wei Chao!!

The buffet we ate. Quality wise, honestly speaking, is mediocre. Yup! But the fried fish is very tasty. To YF, the Mee Goreng is a little spicy to her. Contain scallop, chicken drumstick, oat prawns and cauliflower cooked with mushrooms! Drinks wise was rather sweet and desserts are mixed fruits. Haha!

Oh ya! Today ( 22nd of July ) is Wei Chao's 23rd Birthday! Happy birthday to you!!!

Receive this very fragrant cake. Notice that the top cream is very chocolatey?

When i halved it, wow... it is decorated with lots of nice "ball ball" chocolate biscuits! The bottom crunchy crust is tinted with a taste of wine and the top half is superbly sweet and soft!!! Seriously, this is one of the best cake i've ever tasted. Really very stunningly nice.

Hopefully tonight is a wonderful night for Xiang ting today! It has been a blessings to know you... (^.^) and i think it's a blessing that you have Kimberly as your friend... After chatting with her, then i finally realised something. Your parents love you de most. They paid for everything!! Including the very nice wine cake and the buffet. You are really a very blessed girl. :) Alright! I'll update this blog as soon as i receive the rest of the photos from Kimberly!!!
