Chocolatey brownie!

It's sunday.. and i'm all alone at home again.. feeling nothing to do, i surfed the internet and chanced upon a website that teach me how to make brownie.. i've decided to put my trust in the website and go ahead with my brownie mission!! This is my first try.. and i must say that it is very successful.. :) and i didn't use the pre-mixed brownie flour from NTUC, i started off with plain flour.. *beaming*

wow wow wow.... look at these brownies!! I've tasted just a few crust of them and i find it stunningly tasty... ( secret ingredient ).. WAHAHAA!! and i used up some ingredients from my cookie baking + additional $22 bucks to buy the rest of the ingredients to make about 35 chocolately brownie.. hmm... means on average i spent at least 60 cents per brownie.. not bad i think.. considering the nuts itself took up 1/3 of the cost..Guess what kind of nut i used this time? =P

and on saturday, we celebrated Eunice 22nd birthday! happy birthday my sister! May the Lord bless you so much that people around you are blessed too.. =)

Kinda like the Ferrero-rocher-like-chocolate crust at the bottom of the cake.. Most importantly, I'm thankful for everything God has given me.. wonderful parents, interesting siblings, lovely gf and supportive friends.. :) i'm contented now.. and a contented man is a happy man.. :)

The 12 Research Officers + Cookies entry

haha.. and the training is still on for me! Went to Singapore Institute for Clinical Sciences last tue for some course and the 12 RO's manage to take a photo together finally!!

We are the ones who will be together.. through thick and thin.. :P

and on sunday, i managed to bake cookies once again! Using an average of about $15 to buy the ingredients, it's my 3rd attempt and i'm proud of everything i did.. :) These are the cranberry cookies!!

In fact the chocolate cookies were not up to expectation.. the chocolate chip melted while mixing and it looks a little ugly.. in the end i have to coat it with dark chocolate.. extra step + extra time + extra effort... but the very nature of the cookie itself turns out exceptionally good..

Took a picture with my lab members today! And we are all very nice people.. =P Starting from the right is my Principle Investigator Katja, Research Officer YingXiu, Post Doc Vey, Senior Research Officer Thava and the cute me! Look at the mess behind us... it's beautifully packed by me.. *shy*It has been really long since i last blogged! But i'm still the same Joseph.. Everyday have been a learning experience for me! At least up till now, i enjoyed working life.. haha.. i never knew producing good results can be so addictive.. shit.. maybe this is the trap for a scientist to stay in this field..
